24. Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium/Schramm State Recreation Area
    Located along the Platte River, 21004 West Hwy. 31, I-80 Exit 432
    A 330 acre State Recreation Area is the home of the Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium and Nature Center. Nestled along the banks of the Platte River, the park also includes three miles of hiking trails that cut through shallow canyons and low hills. 25. Bellevue Pioneer Cemetery
    13th Avenue & Lord Blvd., Bellevue, NE
    The cemetery is the final resting place for many of the families who pioneered Bellevue. Among those buried there are Big Elk, a prominent chief of the Omaha tribe, archeologist and artist, Dr. Gilder, and Fenner Ferguson, the first chief justice of Nebraska Territory. 28. Fontenelle Bank
    2212 Main Street, Bellevue, NE
    The Fontenelle Bank was built in 1856, and although it closed a year later the building would serve Bellevue for more than one hundred years. In 1857 it became the Sarpy County Courthouse. In 1875 it became Bellevue City Hall. For more information call: (402) 292-1880
29. Holy Family Shrine

    The Holy Family Shrine is situated on a 23-acre site overlooking the Platte Valley offering rest, relaxation and reflection for weary travelers. Colorful gardens and paths adorn the visitors center and chapel, while the view from the chapel is spectacular. Take exit 432, turn south on Highway 30 and go 1 mile past the Flying J to Pflug Road. 30. Log Cabin

    The cabin is believed to date from the 1830's. Between 1856 and 1950 it was occupied by just three families. The last occupant lived there for 65 years without indoor plumbing or electricity. For more information call: (402) 292-1880
31. Offutt Air Force Base
    Fort Crook Road, Bellevue, NE 68005
    Located in Bellevue, Offutt Air Force Base is one of the most critical military installations in the United States. The base's host unit, The 55th Wing, is comprised of five groups-communications, logistics, medical, operations, and mission support. Offutt AFB is where President Bush flew into on Air Force One after the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001.

32. Old Presbyterian Church

34. Omaha and Southern Railroad Depot
    2402 Clay Street, Bellevue, NE
    Dating from 1869, the depot for many years provided Bellevue's primary link with the rest of the world. Now housed adjacent to the Sarpy County Historical Museum, the depot houses a pot belly cast iron stove, Morse code telegraph keys and an oak railroad station clock, oak station waiting benches, trunks, maps, pictures, and a station safe. 35. Portal School

    This 1890 one-room school house was located South of the township of Portal, Nebraska in Sarpy County. The town of Portal was abandoned in the early 1900's due to frequent flooding and most of its residents moved to nearby Papillion. For more information call: (402) 292-1880

38. Sautter House

    The John Sautter Farmhouse was home to German immigrant farmer Johann Sautter for much of the later 19th century.
